Brooke Candy x MAC Fall 2015 Collection

I found out late last night that one of my favourite musicians Brooke Candy is releasing a collection with M.A.C Cosmetics which launches online tomorrow (27/8/2015) , which consists of two lipsticks and a black liquid liner.

I'm literally so excited and will probably get the lipsticks as I have plenty of liners to get through. The lipsticks are both Amplified Creme Lipsticks, Mind Control which is a standard a bright cherry red and Which Witch, which is a  deep almost black plum. The Liquid Liner is standard Boot Black, which is a typical black liner. They are very typical MAC mini collection colours but I am dying over the packaging art.
Lipsticks are priced at $17 and Eye Liner priced at $21.
Brooke is set to release another collection, rumoured to be 14 pieces in 2016. I cannot wait to see what she will come out with as I am a huge fan. I'm hoping for more adventurous colours from her, hopefully from her Das Me era. I'm thinking metallics, clashing colours, bright pinks and even brighter reds. Can't wait to see what will come out!

Smashbox Santigold The Santigolden Age Collection Overview with Makeup Look!

I thought I'd take the time to write a post about Smashbox amazing new collaboration with Santigold called The Santigolden Age Collection for Summer 2014. It is inspired by Santigold's love for the Mayan calender and bold bright colours.

The collection consists of;
x1 Pack of double nail sticker strips £10
x2 Double ended eyeliners £16 each
x1 Lipstick ring £39
X2 Lipglosses in the new Be Legendary formula £15
x2 Eyeshadow pallets £25 each

I was excited about this collection when it was first revealed and fell in love with the green pallet, Earth As We Know It from the word go, the pigments are creamy smooth and easy to blend, and easy to turn into a lovely natural summer look with a green pop of colour.

Here are some of my favourites...

Lipglosses are in the new Be Legendary formula, no more sticky lips with this ultra smooth lightweight texture and high shine, and they even have an amazing colour pay off and staying power. I'm not one for lipglosses but when these were released I have not stopped wearing them!

For use in the water line and as a base for eyeshadows and more obviously to line the upper and lower lids the eyeliners are bold in colour, containing one gold colour teamed up with a blue, Azurite is never wrong / El Dorado and a cool toned minty green teamed with a bold yellow, Yellow Dwarf / Green Martian is a perfect way to add some colour to a look if you're just starting using eye makeup. Fool proof and easy to apply with it's creamy formula it can even be teamed up with the eyeliners!

Do pop in to your local Smashbox counter to see this collection before it's gone! It's made with such artistic care and the pigments are amazing, it's great if you're starting off experimenting with eye makeup or a collector for Limited Edition makeup lines. I work at the Cardiff Boots Queen Street branch so do come in for a demo of these fantastic products.

Here's my look using the Lipgloss, Hot Lava, mixed with the lipstick from the Ring, Still Kickin, Earth As We Know it Pallet on the eyes. Other makeup seen; 24 HR Eyeshadow Primer, Studio Skin in 1.2, Brow Tech Trio in Dark Brown,  Radiance Blush Rush, Onyx Eyeliner, and a Full Exposure mascara.

Views on this collection are my own and not those of Smashbox Cosmetics. This is not a sponsored post.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick Review and Swatches!

So for the past few years I have been purchasing Viva Glam lipsticks as I think it's a fantastic cause, and a lovely colour each cycle.
This year Viva Glam is represented by Rihanna, which instantly made me think that it's going to be a red lipstick and when it came out I wasn't surprised by my assumption being correct.
A cool toned red with a gold glimmer, this lipstick applies smoothly with glossy colour.

YSL Yves Saint Laurent, Gloss Volupte Lip Gloss Review!

The new YSL Gloss Volupte lip gloss line is one word; Stunning. The packaging, feel, sent and lasting colour is amazing.
I picked up the shade 209 Smoking at work while waiting for a friend to purchase a lip gloss herself, this was an impulse buy but it is one that certainly is worth the money.

The idea with 3 of the lip glosses are to use them as topcoats to change the look of your lips or lipstick, the others in the collection you can use as stand alone lip glosses with gold shimmers or use them to enhance your lipsticks.
There are 23 shades in the collection.

 Price: RRP £21.

Time Trailed: 2 days, one while out in the night and throughout the following day.

MAC Divine Night Grooming Kit Review

As I saw this in my email inbox advertising the new MAC christmas products I had to buy it as soon as it was released. I am forever losing my eyebrow combs and tweezers and considering the price is slashed for Christmas if you purchase in a kit. So today I went into the MAC Flagship store in Cardiff to pick it up.
The set includes a carry case to protect the grooming tools, an emery board, tweezers, eyebrow comb and a little mirror. This is the MAC Divine Night Grooming Kit.

It retails at £35, and is available online or in store at a MAC counter.

Now I'm not a massive fan of MAC as their base and face products don't settle well with my skin but I do like their Viva Glam lipsticks as well as standard line lipsticks and eye shadows. That's pretty much it.

I loved the retro style look of these cases and holders so I was slightly impressed with the presentation.

And when I opened the box to this I was shocked.
