NARS Taj Mahal Review!

Long overdue review on one of the most flattering blushers around, Taj Mahal by NARS. I can vividly remember purchasing this blusher and the first time I saw it. My instant reaction, "Who would even want an orange blusher?" and upon application was swiftly followed by "Oh, I guess that would be me."
Highly pigmented, NARS blushers rarely disappoint, this blush is a vivid orange that turns slightly more red once applied to the skin, with a beautiful tone complimenting gold sheen.

Time trialled: Year and a half.
Price: £22.50

One thing to remember with NARS blushes are that they are highly pigmented, which reflects in the cost, so you only need a tiny amount. I have found that in the time I have had this the pigment has not dried out like other blushes I have owned and it has stayed the same velvety smooth texture it was when I first had it. The great thing with this is that it can be used for a number of things such as a lip colour with some balm placed of the top, an eve shadow and finally a blush.

As you can see the pigment swatched is very very intense. On myself it goes to a peachy tone and more red in the areas where I have applied more product, with a golden shimmer running throughout. I feel it lifts my skin tone and adds a warm glow, perfect to apply if you don't wish to use a bronzer.

I use the tip of my brush to apply this so it has less waste and for a more precise application. This blush is more suited for warmer, darker and honey toned skins, I wouldn't imagine it would suit paler as it would look more orange than a burnt amber colour.

For the amount of time I have had this I'm surprised at how little I have actually used considering it is one of my go to blushes. I highly recommend a NARS blush if you're on a budget and want a blusher that will last a long time.

  1. I have this one. What I love about it is, it doesnt come out ridiculously orange either but gives a nice warm color to the cheeks x
